McDonald's: Large poutine

Date

May 2023

Description

McDonald’s explores the origins of a Canadian menu staple in this campaign for their large poutine. The commercial utilizes a series of vignettes to anchor the product in a sense of place, transitioning from a cozy study of archival history to the raw landscape of forestry and agriculture. Produced by Les Enfants, the spot employs a cinematic, storytelling-driven approach to highlight the provenance of key ingredients. Scenes shift from a fromagerie featuring fresh cheese curds to rural landscapes, utilizing warm, natural lighting to unify the narrative journey. Creative development was led by the agency Cossette, with post-production and VFX services provided by both Colegram and Outpost.
