Matre
Brand Identity

Feb 2025
Matre’s brand identity project establishes a contemporary visual language for the Norwegian furniture house, blending historical design references with modern digital strategy. Executed by Bielke&Yang and Rolodex Studio, the work incorporates archival imagery alongside clean, editorial typography to frame pieces by designers like Sigurd Resell and Fredrik Kayser. The project spans physical packaging, digital interfaces, and promotional motion design. Through a tactile lens, the brand identity utilizes emboss and deboss techniques on product labels and packaging, set against warm, natural lighting that emphasizes leather grains and woven textures. The motion graphics layer bold red accents and typographic information over high-contrast product shots to maintain a consistent luxury aesthetic. Creative development was led by Bielke&Yang on design, strategy, and web presence, with Rolodex Studio providing brand strategy and creative direction. Additional production support includes photography by Stephanie Sikkes and film production by JUBAFiLM AS.
