On The Road is a fashion editorial series for Icon Magazine Australia, captured through a lens of stark cinematic realism. The project explores themes of transit and isolation, juxtaposing high-fashion silhouettes against raw industrial yards, desolate coastal plains, and open asphalt roads. Photographer Jake Terrey utilizes analogue film techniques and natural light to lean into a moody, high-contrast aesthetic. The series frequently employs chiaroscuro lighting and distinct grain to ground the styling—which ranges from structured trench coats and leather outerwear to detailed knitwear—within a gritty, narrative-driven environment. Creative execution was led by photographer Jake Terrey, featuring fashion styling by Kim Payne and hair styling by Mikele Simone.
