Pressed, a fashion editorial series for Icon Magazine Australia, explores the intersection of high-end tailoring and the raw, mechanical aesthetic of industrial production. Shot by photographer Julian Schulz, the project leans into a gritty, documentary-style atmosphere, contrasting sharp menswear with the utilitarian textures of printing workshops and warehouses. Featuring models from Kult, the series incorporates a monochromatic palette and analogue film techniques to highlight structural details in clothing, from pinstriped suits and patterned jackets to structured overcoats. With fashion styling by Kim Payne and grooming by Mikele Simone, the editorial draws a line between the precision of traditional print media and modern sartorial form, utilizing natural lighting and the inherent textures of industrial machinery as a backdrop for the narrative.
