Hotel Arlberg Lech
Brand Identity

Mar 2020
The brand identity overhaul for Hotel Arlberg Lech serves as a masterclass in minimalist luxury, seamlessly blending architectural precision with the rugged elegance of alpine hospitality. By leaning into a stark, monochrome palette, the design system avoids the visual noise typical of the hospitality sector, instead prioritizing typographic clarity and refined tactile materials. The identity is anchored by high-contrast black-and-white compositions that emphasize structural grids and fluid cursive script, creating a sophisticated visual rhythm across both digital and physical touchpoints. From the weighted, matte-black business cards finished with precise gold-foil typography to the debossed stationery that invites a tactile connection, the project communicates a premium, modern aesthetic that remains firmly rooted in its location. The design elements—ranging from delicate white line-art illustrations of skiers to geometric funnel shapes—are applied with an exacting eye, ensuring that every asset, whether a hotel door hanger or a marketing collateral piece, feels deliberate and cohesive. By synthesizing abstract vector design with the raw, natural beauty of snow-dusted landscapes, the branding successfully captures the dual essence of the hotel: an elevated, contemporary retreat that honors its historical alpine roots. This work demonstrates an masterful use of typography and minimalist space, reinforcing Hotel Arlberg Lech as a destination for the discerning traveler who values intentional, understated craftsmanship over decorative excess.
