Homeroom: Brand Identity

Date

Apr 2021

Description

The brand identity for Homeroom, developed by the design studio Mucho, centers on a high-contrast visual language that balances academic iconography with bold, modern street aesthetics. The project leverages a vibrant, neon-forward color palette applied across both static print media and digital interfaces. Key executions include large-scale wheatpasted posters, apparel, and mobile UI assets that utilize vector graphics and striking typography to create a cohesive identity. By placing silhouettes of students at school desks—frequently featuring a raised fist—against saturated backgrounds, the work establishes a distinct visual rhythm. The production is rounded out by documentary-style photography that captures the brand in situ within urban environments, utilizing sharp shadows and natural light to emphasize its graphic, screen-printed qualities.
