Glasgow Film Festival Brand Identity 2021

About

The Glasgow Film Festival brand identity project establishes a dynamic visual language through bold color blocking and playful, eclectic graphic motifs. The system relies on a vibrant palette of orange, green, and blue, utilizing clean typography to anchor diverse illustrative elements such as sunbursts, celestial imagery, and character-driven stickers. This approach bridges festival communications with broader media and entertainment applications, from large-format outdoor billboards to editorial print and merchandise. Executed through a collaborative effort, the identity leans into graphic-heavy compositions and collage-inspired layouts. The work by O Street, Maria Marks, Badal Patel, Studio Monozygote, and Studio Albin Holmqvist highlights the festival's presence through high-contrast vector design and street-level environmental branding, utilising natural light to frame the assets within urban settings.
