Fear of God
Essentials Summer 2024 Core Collection Ad Campaign

May 2024
The Fear of God Essentials Summer 2024 Core Collection ad campaign leans into a masterclass of editorial minimalism, defining the season with an understated, monochromatic palette. Creative director Jerry Lorenzo, alongside art director Carlos Nazario, orchestrates a visual narrative that centers on architectural silhouettes and tactile depth. Photographed by Maria and Louise Thornfeldt, the campaign utilizes a blend of studio strobe and soft natural light to emphasize the oversized, relaxed-fit loungewear and heavy-weight layering pieces that have become synonymous with the label. The imagery is marked by a clean, deliberate aesthetic, with Veneda Carter’s styling highlighting the subtle complexities of the collection—from dangling signature drawstrings to the juxtaposition of casual fleece with sharp, pointed-toe footwear. By placing a diverse ensemble of models, including Vince Staples and Kai-Isaiah Jamal, against neutral, textured concrete and off-white backdrops, the campaign prioritizes the garment’s structure and the humanity of its wearer. Each portrait serves as a study in contemporary streetwear, where the focus remains on the interplay between soft fabric textures and the rigid, linear environments of the shoot. This campaign avoids extraneous noise, instead offering a precise, cohesive lookbook that feels both aspirational and inherently grounded in the brand’s signature, high-fashion-meets-leisure ethos.
