Courrèges

Spring 2025 Ad Campaign
Date

Feb 2025

Description

The Spring 2025 campaign for Courrèges stands as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, stripping away the superfluous to place the brand's sharp, architectural silhouette at the center of the frame. Under the creative direction of Nicolas Di Felice, the project channels a sophisticated and avant-garde energy that feels distinctly modern, relying on the interplay of stark monochrome garments against an expansive, high-key white backdrop. Captured through the lens of photographer Mark Borthwick, the campaign utilizes a studio strobe technique that emphasizes clean, surgical lines and structured tailoring, from geometric chest cutouts to precise leather overcoats. The use of negative space is a deliberate compositional choice, isolating the models—including Angelina Kendall, Ibra Niakate, Jeanne Cadieu, Leon Dame, and Sara Caballero—to amplify the surreal, fragmented nature of the portraits. This is further elevated by the styling of Marie Chaix, whose focus on a tight, monochromatic palette ensures that the focus remains entirely on the garment's construction. By blending the precision of commercial studio work with an artistic editorial sensibility, the campaign asserts a polished, high-fashion identity that feels both timeless and forward-looking. Through this restrained aesthetic, Courrèges successfully reaffirms its position within luxury fashion, proving that when the visual noise is dialed down, the strength of the design language speaks with undeniable clarity and impact.
