Panthere de Cartier

Mar 2026
Cartier redefines the intersection of masculine luxury and timeless elegance in this latest campaign for the Panthere de Cartier collection. Featuring actor Li Xian, the project utilizes a deliberate, minimalist visual language to elevate the brand’s iconic panther motif. Creative directors David Lane and Johanna Bonnevier orchestrate a sophisticated narrative that leans into editorial minimalism, stripping away excess to focus entirely on the interplay between form, texture, and light. Through the lens of photographer Robin Galiegue, the imagery employs studio strobe lighting to create sharp, architectural silhouettes, while occasional shifts into low-key or chiaroscuro styles add a cinematic depth that highlights the intricate metalwork of the jewelry. The styling, helmed by fashion editor Julian Ganio, introduces soft, textural contrasts—ranging from fuzzy pale pink sweaters to crisp black blazers—against a stark, monochromatic set designed by Jeanne Briand. This juxtaposition of geometric, hexagonal props and the organic, contemplative posture of the talent creates a serene atmosphere, moving the Panthere de Cartier pieces beyond simple ornamentation. The resulting body of work functions as both commercial portraiture and high-fashion editorial, successfully blending the storied heritage of the house with a modern, emotive aesthetic that feels both intimate and grandly composed for the contemporary luxury market.
