Byte
Brand Identity

Jan 2020
The new brand identity for Byte snack bars is a masterclass in high-energy, contemporary design that breathes fresh life into the CPG food and beverage sector. Developed with precise creative direction by The Office of Ordinary Things, the visual language moves beyond standard shelf-presence to establish a bold, personality-driven identity. Across the collection of commercial assets, the project leans into a playful, retro-inspired aesthetic defined by high-contrast color blocking and fluid, rounded typography. From macro shots of tactile embroidery to crisp studio photography utilizing sharp hard light, the execution remains consistently graphic and punchy. The brand leans into a vibrant, saturated palette of magenta, cyan, and teal, which creates a cohesive narrative across both packaging design and lifestyle apparel. By combining minimalist compositions with deliberate, soft-light studio techniques, the identity successfully balances a clean, modern look with a sense of irreverent fun. Whether it is a studio portrait featuring branded merchandise or a top-down flat lay showcasing the product’s vegan and gluten-free credentials, the work maintains a rigorous commitment to its core visual systems. This project proves that even a snack bar can command attention through thoughtful, vector-driven design and a clear, unapologetic point of view that feels as fresh as it is memorable for the modern consumer.
