Angel Islington Brand Identity 2024

About

Angel Islington’s brand identity project, developed by Campbell Hay, establishes a visual language centered on the community and lifestyle of the London neighbourhood. The execution balances clean, modernist typography with a vibrant color palette, resulting in a flexible system that adapts across digital and physical touchpoints. The project incorporates motion graphics and live-action sequences to capture local culture, featuring imagery of market life, social interactions, and active environments. By integrating bold graphic transitions with candid photography, the identity feels both precise and human-centric. The system appears across diverse mediums, ranging from OOH billboard advertising in London Underground stations to mobile and desktop web interfaces. Techniques such as animation, minimalist vector iconography, and cinematic slow-motion are employed to maintain visual rhythm. The overall design language favors clean layouts, utilizing playful text overlays and crisp vector shapes to ensure consistency from small-scale UI illustrations to large-format digital displays.
