Alexander McQueen
Fall 2023 Ad Campaign

Jun 2023
The Alexander McQueen Fall 2023 ad campaign is a masterclass in architectural tailoring, capturing the intersection of high-fashion structure and brutalist urbanism. Shot by photographer David Sims, the campaign utilizes a sophisticated, cinematic language to highlight the sharp silhouettes and intricate craftsmanship designed by Sarah Burton. Across the series, the imagery leans into a rhythmic play between soft, natural light and deep, chiaroscuro shadows, framing models like Adhel Bol, Sora Choi, and Elise Crombez against the raw, uncompromising textures of concrete and industrial landscapes. The collection comes alive through this juxtaposition; the jagged edges of distressed denim and the opulent sheen of crystal-embellished fringe find balance within the clean lines of the brutalist environments. With styling by Camilla Nickerson, hair by Paul Hanlon, and makeup by Lucia Pieroni, the campaign prioritizes a polished, minimalist aesthetic that allows the garment construction to remain the focal point. This is an editorial exploration of movement and form, where vibrant color blocks and stark monochromatic ensembles command the space with equal authority. By grounding the avant-garde sensibilities of the house in such tangible, urban surroundings, the campaign transforms the clothing into sculptural monuments, reinforcing the brand's enduring commitment to precision, drama, and an unwavering, contemporary vision of luxury fashion.
