Aureus for Acne Paper presents a series of fashion editorials set against the monumental backdrop of ancient stone amphitheaters and ruins. Captured by photographer Julien Martinez Leclerc under the creative direction of Thomas Persson, the project utilizes a high-contrast monochrome aesthetic to bridge the gap between historic architectural forms and contemporary sculptural fashion. The imagery leans into a gritty, cinematic atmosphere, defined by dramatic natural light, deep shadows, and low-key chiaroscuro techniques. Stylist Katie Burnett brings a refined edge to the wardrobe, featuring heavily textured garments and voluminous silhouettes that contrast sharply with the weathered columns and inscriptions of the setting. The project features models Mike Vasilakis and Noor Khan, with hair styling by Kim Rance and makeup by Thom Walker, while casting was provided by Piotr Chamier.
