Aureus for Acne Paper presents a series of monochromatic fashion editorials that explore the intersection of classical architecture and contemporary design. Captured by photographer Julien Martinez Leclerc under the creative direction of Thomas Persson, the project utilizes the rugged, weathered stone of ancient amphitheaters and ruins to provide a stark, textured backdrop for sculptural silhouettes. The imagery employs high-contrast black-and-white grading and analogue film techniques to heighten the interplay between deep shadows and natural light. Styling by Katie Burnett emphasizes heavy textures, voluminous drapery, and structured garments, creating a dialogue between the monumental history of the settings and modern fashion sensibilities. Hair by Kim Rance and makeup by Thom Walker complete the refined, cinematic aesthetic.
