Solar, an expansive editorial project for Acne Paper, centers on the interplay of sculptural silhouettes and monochromatic atmospheric lighting. Under the creative direction of Thomas Persson, photographer Paul Kooiker captures a series of evocative, high-concept portraits that lean into a warm, sepia-toned palette to emphasize tactile textures and architectural form. Fashion editor Beat Bolliger shapes the series with a rigorous focus on avant-garde styling, utilizing layered leather, structured tailoring, and fluid drapery. The imagery, often characterized by low-key lighting and grainy analogue film aesthetics, frames models Helena Olmedo and Sonya Mohova in dynamic, expressive poses that command the minimalist studio space.
