Stiftung Insel Hombroich · Brand Identity

The brand identity for Stiftung Insel Hombroich stands as a masterclass in editorial design, meticulously bridging the gap between historical archival documentation and contemporary commercial aesthetics. Through a sophisticated interplay of minimalist typography and bold, saturated color palettes—most notably the vibrant orange accents that cut through monochromatic spreads—the project establishes a clear, orderly visual language. HelloMe’s graphic design work is central to this execution, favoring a restrained, high-end approach that allows the architecture and fine art subject matter to take center stage. By utilizing techniques like emboss and deboss, alongside a tactile focus on fabric-textured book covers and linen surfaces, the identity elevates printed collateral into a collector-grade monograph experience. The use of soft light and intentional white space throughout the catalogues creates a sense of archival precision, ensuring that the interplay of geometric forms and raw textures remains the focal point. This project is a refined exercise in modern branding, where every layout choice, from the sans-serif typefaces to the grain-heavy sepia photography, works in concert to document the dialogue between landscape, sculpture, and painting. It is an impressive demonstration of how thoughtful editorial choices can define the character of a cultural institution, transforming simple informational pieces into a cohesive and visually arresting brand portfolio that honors the legacy of its artistic contributors.
