Nicole Bentley · The Chop

The Chop is a monochrome fashion editorial series focused on the interplay of texture, form, and minimalist composition. Centered on the versatility of short, tousled hair, the project channels a clean aesthetic through studio portraiture that prioritizes tonal contrast and natural light. Photographed by Nicola Bentley and featuring talent Rosie Tupper, the series captures a range of expressive, candid moments. The editorial benefits from the styling of Karla Clarke, with hair by Koh and makeup by Victoria Baron, working across a diverse wardrobe that shifts between ribbed textures, structured coats, and evening wear. These analogue-style portraits emphasize a refined, uncluttered look consistent with contemporary editorial standards.
