Miami City Ballet · Into the Magic City

Miami City Ballet presents Into the Magic City, a cinematic dance film that weaves together performance and narrative. The production moves through a series of opulent residential interiors, expansive ballrooms, and sunlit estate gardens to capture a sequence of formal choreography set to live musical accompaniment. The film leans into a rich, theatrical atmosphere supported by warm natural light and detailed interior production design. Featuring a distinct color-graded aesthetic, the piece utilizes live-action technique to translate the scale of ballet into a captured format, highlighting both the architecture of the settings and the movement of the performers.
