Levon Baird · A Short story about plants

A Short story about plants is an editorial photography project by Levon Baird that explores the intersection of human subjects and botanical elements. Across the series, Baird employs macro-level clarity and minimalist fashion portraiture to create an organic narrative, using the interplay between natural forms and studio lighting to emphasize texture. The work moves between structured multi-panel grids, diptychs, and intimate close-ups. By pairing subjects with pressed specimens, dried flowers, and vibrant backdrops, the collection leans into a clean, graphic aesthetic. The execution often incorporates analogue film techniques and natural light, emphasizing skin tones and intricate knitwear alongside diverse plant life.
