Cat Johnston · The Gods of Minor Ailments

Cat Johnston presents 'The Gods of Minor Ailments,' an animated piece that introduces a series of whimsical, handcrafted characters constructed from paper and floral elements. The project leans into a stop-motion aesthetic, utilizing intricate paper sculpture to bring its subject to life on screen. The narrative centers on a fantastical creature whose design incorporates delicate petals against a backdrop of illustrated flora. Featuring an animation process by Passion Animation Studios, the work utilizes organic textures and a vibrant color palette to frame the character's comical response to seasonal allergies.
