Atelier 03

Atelier 03 · Brand Identity

Atelier 03 emerges as a masterclass in modern corporate graphic design, showcasing a brand identity that seamlessly bridges the gap between technical precision and artistic expression. The project, meticulously crafted by the design duo Vrints-Kolsteren, utilizes a sophisticated visual system centered on high-contrast, minimalist aesthetics. By grounding the brand in deep matte black surfaces punctuated by vibrant neon accents, the identity leans into a contemporary, digital-first sensibility while maintaining the tactile integrity of premium print materials. The execution is defined by an experimental approach to typography, where sliced and fragmented letterforms create a sense of kinetic energy, further emphasized through the clever use of emboss and deboss techniques on high-quality stationery. Beyond static collateral, the identity translates effortlessly into large-scale urban environments, appearing on everything from bus stop kiosks to billboards near Antwerp’s Voetgangerstunnel. Through a rigorous application of UI illustration and grid-based structural layouts, the manual serves as a comprehensive reference for brand consistency. The resulting work functions as a complete design system, proving that clarity is not the enemy of creativity. The interplay of thin, glowing lines and structured geometric grids reflects a forward-thinking brand strategy, establishing Atelier 03 as a prime example of how thoughtful, data-driven design documentation can elevate a corporate presence into a distinct, memorable, and visually arresting experience.
