WA Forest Alliance · The Protest Puppet

The Protest Puppet campaign for the WA Forest Alliance focuses on the intersection of human movement and visual storytelling within a woodland setting. Directed by Henry McVay and produced through Beautiful Pictures, the project combines documentary-style framing with live-action technique to document a subject navigating a forest path with a large-scale cutout figure. Utilizing natural light, the campaign captures the journey through a mix of outdoor walking sequences and direct-to-camera commentary. The execution leans into a vertical format to emphasize the character’s interaction with the environment.
