Volkov · Volkov FW25

The Volkov FW25 collection serves as a masterclass in high-fashion editorial, blending architectural rigor with a deeply atmospheric, cinematic sensibility. Moving away from standard seasonal lookbooks, this campaign leans into a theatrical, dark-toned aesthetic that highlights the collection’s intricate interplay of textures. Creative director Riley Woodell orchestrates a visual narrative where structured garments—ranging from velvet floor-length gowns and sculptural tulle to metallic-trimmed outerwear—are set against stark studio backgrounds or moody, dimly lit interiors. The imagery thrives on a specific tension between soft, tactile fabrics and sharp, dramatic silhouettes, utilizing techniques like high-key studio strobe lighting to emphasize ornate jewelry alongside natural light and chiaroscuro shadows to deepen the intrigue of the environment. Whether capturing a model in a sharp bob set against an abstract purple canvas or framing a velvet-clad figure within a classic paneled corridor, the project feels decidedly editorial. The styling remains consistently bold, with sculptural headpieces and heavy ornamentation serving to ground the ethereal quality of the tulle and layered fabrics. Ultimately, this series functions as a visual study in contrast, successfully positioning the luxury fashion house as a brand that prioritizes narrative depth and sophisticated, elevated craft over mere product placement.
