InStyle Germany · Hot Summer

InStyle Germany captures the essence of the season in 'Hot Summer,' a vibrant fashion editorial featuring model Kim Riekenberg. The series leans into a sun-drenched aesthetic, utilizing warm color grading and golden hour lighting to evoke a relaxed, high-energy atmosphere. Photographer Max Abadian leads the visual execution, framing Riekenberg against a variety of outdoor settings ranging from poolside locales to vintage car interiors. The production highlights intricate styling by fashion editor Lynn Schmidt, with hair styling by Matthew Collins, makeup by Leslie Ann Thomson, and manicures by Sarah Chue. The imagery frequently employs analogue film techniques and natural light to emphasize rich textures, from terrycloth and fringe to the glint of sunlight on water.
