Iceland Symphony Orchestra · Brand Identity

The Iceland Symphony Orchestra brand identity project establishes a contemporary visual system for the institution, balancing orchestral tradition with modern graphic design. The system utilizes a sophisticated high-contrast aesthetic, pairing elegant serif and sans-serif typography with recurring botanical mandala motifs and metallic gold emblems. Developed under the creative direction of Siggi Odds and art direction of Margrét Aðalheiður Þorgeirsdóttir, the project spans both print and digital applications. The identity incorporates tactile elements, including letterpress stationery and metallic foil stamping, while extending into motion graphics that feature rhythmic, kinetic typography and 3D renders. The execution maintains a clean and minimalist visual language across concert posters, signage, and corporate materials.
