David Szauder · Everyday Masking

Everyday Masking is an experimental digital video project by David Szauder that explores themes of transformation through a series of shifting portrait compositions. The work presents a sequence of characters adorned in various facial coverings, utilizing fabric, paper, and organic structures to alter the subject's appearance in a minimalist studio setting. The piece employs an artistic, monochrome aesthetic to highlight the intricate textures of the materials. Through AI image and video generation, Szauder manipulates frame transitions to create a sense of fluid, conceptual performance art within a vertical format.
