Bangarra Dance Theatre · Campaigns

Bangarra Dance Theatre presents a series of evocative promotional campaigns, captured through the lens of photographer Daniel Boud. These images document contemporary Indigenous Australian performance art, utilizing a range of lighting and staging techniques to emphasize sculptural form and fluid choreography. The collection spans diverse environments, from minimal studio settings to immersive, textured landscapes. By employing methods such as long exposure and chiaroscuro lighting, the work highlights the physicality of the dancers and the intricate details of their costumes, which often feature earthy textures and body paint. Each campaign visual aligns with the theatrical spirit of the company, balancing graphic compositions with performance-led storytelling. The imagery serves as a cohesive record of the company’s recent productions and artistic vision.
