Balay · Brand Identity

The brand identity for Balay is a masterclass in cohesive, multisensory commercial design that bridges the gap between industrial utility and modern, minimalist luxury. Spearheaded by the design vision of OnePlus and elevated through the sharp, deliberate lens of DSL Studio, the project masterfully navigates diverse formats, from tactile embroidery and custom hand-painted typography to structured corporate collateral. By grounding the brand in a vibrant, color-blocked palette and clean typography, the visual identity feels both playful and precise. Whether documenting a lifestyle campaign in a bustling, metallic-accented bar space or focusing on the delicate graphic layouts of restaurant menus, the work consistently leans into a refined, editorial aesthetic. The use of natural light throughout the photography highlights the textures of the space—balancing brushed steel with rich, dark wood—while artisanal elements like the embroidered truck patch add a layer of human-centric warmth. By integrating these disparate touchpoints into a unified narrative, the project successfully defines a contemporary atmosphere where every detail, from the fish-shaped signage to the wine list, functions as a seamless extension of the brand. It is an exploration of form and function that succeeds by prioritizing clarity and character, proving that effective brand identity design thrives when industrial discipline meets thoughtful, creative execution.
