Anja Rubik

Anja Rubik · Portrait

The Portrait series features model Anja Rubik in a collection of high-contrast, monochromatic editorial images. Captured by photographer Cameron Krone, the project moves between stark, minimalist studio environments and gritty, urban street-level perspectives, focusing on sculptural composition and precise directional lighting. Employing a mix of chiaroscuro techniques and analogue-inspired aesthetics, the imagery highlights the interplay between shadow and form. Across both close-up portraits and full-length shots, the work utilizes hard light to define the subject against both deep black backdrops and bright white spaces, emphasizing fabric textures and structural garment details.
