a new generation of drinkers

a new generation of drinkers · Brand Identity

For Dickie's Ginger, a new generation of drinkers, the brand identity project establishes a refreshing visual language that bridges the gap between artisanal craft and modern accessibility. Within the competitive Beverages and Food & Beverage sector, the creative direction leans into a bold, minimalist aesthetic that utilizes high-contrast color blocking and playful typography to stand out on the shelf. The visual system, supported by the keen eyes of photographers Grady Mitchell and Niko Myyra, masterfully balances technical product photography—utilizing studio strobe setups to highlight condensation and metallic textures—with lifestyle imagery that grounds the brand in an authentic, industrial brewery environment. By weaving in consistent vector-based floral graphics and organic ginger root illustrations, the identity feels both cohesive and approachable. The design, executed with precision by Pendo, moves away from traditional, stuffy beverage marketing to embrace a vibrant, direct-to-consumer feel that emphasizes fresh, cold-pressed ingredients. Whether through the clean layout of business cards, the utilitarian charm of custom-branded shipping materials, or the tactile appeal of screen-printed coasters, the brand identity project succeeds in creating a holistic commercial ecosystem. This is a masterclass in how purposeful, typography-driven design and thoughtful live-action technique can translate a simple product—ginger beer—into a lifestyle brand that resonates with a modern audience, turning everyday packaging into a piece of visual storytelling.
