Zara's Vulcano project is an editorial fashion campaign that juxtaposes high-street silhouettes against rugged, raw landscapes. Captured by photographer David Portela, the series features model Amar Akway set against dramatic volcanic rock formations, arid red earth, and desaturated coastal shorelines. The imagery leans into an earthy color palette and a tactile aesthetic, emphasizing the interplay between organic geological textures and refined fabric details like metallic beading, knit layering, and delicate gold accessories. Technically, the campaign utilizes natural light to heighten the contrast between the model's form and the harsh surroundings, alternating between direct sunlight and moody, overcast daylight. Hair styling by Franziska Presche and makeup by Thomasin Waite complete the look, focusing on sculpted short hair and dark, glossy lips to maintain a minimalist, high-fashion impact.
