WhatsApp’s documentary project We Are Ayenda chronicles the lives of Afghan women and girls navigating conflict and displacement. The film balances high-tension documentary scenes with quiet, intimate moments of the subjects sharing their personal experiences through sport and community. Produced with the support of GrandArmy and The Lab, the piece utilizes a natural light aesthetic and analogue film techniques to maintain a grounded, observational tone. Sound design by Roast n' Post complements the documentary capture, while post-production and VFX were managed by Even, Odd Studios, and Primary.
