The Unstated
Brand Identity

Oct 2019
The brand identity for The Unstated serves as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, weaving a cohesive visual narrative that bridges the gap between commercial structure and artistic storytelling. Developed by the design studio Two Times Elliott, this project centers on a clean, sophisticated aesthetic that prioritizes clarity, tactile materiality, and intentional restraint. Throughout the various components of the brand collateral, the designers lean into a balanced interplay of typography and natural light, utilizing sans-serif fonts and muted color palettes to create a sense of enduring professional elegance. By incorporating elements like kraft-style paper, organic creases, and textured marble surfaces, the project elevates mundane packaging and business stationery into a curated, sensory experience. The creative execution emphasizes a contemporary editorial feel, characterized by soft light and dappled shadows that ground the identity in a tangible, organic world. Through the use of layered photographic prints and subtle graphic overlays, the studio crafts a brand language that reads as both poetic and precise, treating clothing and identity as forms of expression. The result is a highly polished, cohesive identity system that feels both corporate in its execution and deeply artistic in its presentation, ensuring that every touchpoint from the smallest product tag to the most complex digital layout reflects the refined essence of The Unstated.
