Cake Magazine The Last Catch 2026

About

The Last Catch is a fashion editorial produced for Cake Magazine, focusing on a curated sequence of imagery that leans into a coastal-inspired aesthetic. Through a blend of candid portraiture and styled compositions, the project explores the interplay between structured garments and organic, whimsical props. Photographer Elena Sokolova captures the collection using an analogue film technique, which emphasizes rich skin textures and a warm color palette across various outdoor settings. Model Veronika Ivanova is featured throughout the series, appearing in a range of textures from sheer knits to patterned fabrics. The imagery makes frequent use of natural light to create sharp, defined shadows against stone architecture and textured backgrounds, maintaining a clean, observational tone throughout the editorial.
