Sédiment is an editorial fashion feature for Cake Magazine, captured by photographer Marco Di Stefano. Starring model Daphne Maas, the project explores the interplay between structured luxury apparel and the raw, unrefined textures of a coastal landscape. Shot across a series of rugged rock formations and cavernous settings, the imagery leans into a cinematic and moody aesthetic. The series utilizes a mix of analogue film and natural light to emphasize the materiality of the clothing—ranging from tailored plaid suits to voluminous tulle dresses—against the stark backdrop of the sea. By blending gritty, desaturated tones with sharp, flash-lit portraiture, the editorial maintains a contemplative, atmospheric quality throughout the series.
