Side-note Vol 2: Born to be Wilde 2024

About

Side-note explores sculptural silhouettes and textile movement in Vol 2: Born to be Wilde, a fashion editorial series that shifts between industrial outdoor settings and minimalist studio environments. The project prioritizes high-contrast textures, pairing intricate knitwear and fringe garments with metallic accents to create a cinematic mood. Photographer Edward Mulvihill leads the visual direction, capturing subjects in a range of natural light and chiaroscuro lighting conditions. Fashion stylists Karla Clarke and Emma Kalfus curate an aesthetic grounded in monochrome palettes and deliberate tailoring, while set designer Ewan Bell provides structured backgrounds that ground the movement of the apparel. Hair by Daren Borthwick and make-up by Victoria Baron complete the polished, editorial look.
