Proportion is an editorial fashion series for Side-note that explores the relationship between structured tailoring and surreal, miniature environments. The imagery leans into a diorama-like aesthetic, using clean studio lighting to frame models Emily Baker and Muna Mahamed against elaborate, toy-scaled landscapes and architectural props. Photographed by Jake Terrey, the project balances avant-garde styling with precise, minimalist compositions. Hair styling by Daren Borthwick complements the sculptural silhouettes and pinstriped garments, with the work employing a mix of monochrome grading and natural light to heighten the contrast between the human subject and the tiny, fabricated worlds.
