Vol 1 is a fashion editorial series for Side-note that focuses on the intersection of avant-garde silhouette and architectural form. Through a series of studio-based portraits, the project highlights sculptural textiles and experimental layering, utilizing soft, directional lighting to emphasize the material density of oversized garments. The series features photography by Jess Ruby James, with make-up by Jasmine Abdllaoui. The aesthetic leans into a clean, editorial look, incorporating both monochrome contrast and a desaturated color palette. Elements such as oversized foam props and metallic textures reinforce the project’s focus on structured, artistic fashion styling.
