Shakespeare Theatre Company
Brand Identity

Jan 2023
The brand identity for the Shakespeare Theatre Company delivers a contemporary visual language that bridges traditional stagecraft with modern graphic design. Developed as a comprehensive system, the identity utilizes a high-contrast palette of vibrant purples, pinks, and deep maroons to modernize the institutional aesthetic. Techniques such as motion graphics and bold typography anchor the brand across various touchpoints, including digital advertising, web layouts, and corporate stationery. The project emphasizes a clean, minimalist approach to layout, featuring striking duotone treatments for theatrical photography that highlight productions such as King Lear, Hamlet, and The Tempest. The creative execution was led by Pentagram, Everland, Claudia Draghia, Sebastian Pren, Radu Manelici, Grávita, and Igor Kolomiiets. The resulting system balances structural restraint with theatrical energy, establishing a cohesive presence from outdoor media to functional merchandise.
