Queensland Hydro presents a series of cinematic landscapes and interior studies that explore the intersection of human activity and natural environments. The project utilizes a distinct approach to color grading, balancing warm, golden-hour tones against moody, desaturated blues to anchor the narrative in a tranquil, observational style. Through a sequence of wide-angle vistas and intimate character portraits, the work emphasizes texture and atmospheric contrast. The visual language favors a cinematic aesthetic, leaning into natural light and chiaroscuro techniques to heighten the sense of scale and scientific discovery within the energy sector. Colourist Kali Bateman defined the project’s palette, ensuring a consistent tonal shift across diverse settings.
