Re-Nylon: Episode 2 Ad Campaign

Jan 2025
Prada continues its commitment to environmental stewardship with the second episode of its Re-Nylon ad campaign, a project that seamlessly blends high-end luxury fashion with a poignant message of ocean conservation. Captured against the dramatic, rugged backdrop of the Lofoten Islands in Norway, the campaign features actor Benedict Cumberbatch, whose presence grounds the technical sophistication of the iconic Re-Nylon duffel bags and backpacks in a raw, authentic landscape. The creative direction, led by Richard Phillips, opts for an editorial approach that honors the intersection of innovation and the natural world, utilizing soft, diffused natural light to highlight the intricate textures of the sustainable materials. By positioning the collection within the harsh, beautiful coastal environment, the project moves beyond a standard commercial, leaning into a cinematic narrative that feels both expansive and deeply intimate. Through the collaboration with local experts and the partnership with UNESCO, the imagery serves as a powerful testament to the brand's pivot toward circularity. The visual language, defined by a cool, Nordic color palette and sharp, structured layering, ensures the products stand out as functional yet refined essentials. This campaign successfully bridges the gap between heritage design and modern advocacy, proving that even the most elevated luxury fashion can carry a resonant, global story about the importance of our oceans.
