Mulberry

Spring 2024 Ad Campaign
Date

May 2024

Description

For its Spring 2024 ad campaign, heritage fashion house Mulberry leans into an aesthetic of quiet confidence and refined minimalism. Orchestrated by creative directors Henrietta Gallina and Samuel McWilliams, the project serves as a masterclass in editorial portraiture, stripping away environmental noise to place the accessory at the center of the narrative. Photographer Esther Theaker captures the collection through a lens of intentional restraint, utilizing a blend of natural light and precision-engineered studio strobe setups to illuminate the supple textures of leather against a stark, off-white backdrop. The casting, curated by Ben Grimes and featuring models Celina Ralph, Guinevere van Seenus, and Ajok Daing, emphasizes a diverse, poised femininity that bridges the gap between classic luxury and contemporary ease. Stylist Isabelle Sayer complements these structured silhouettes with high-neck garments and vibrant, form-fitting knits, ensuring the vivid color palette of the clothing never distracts from the metallic hardware and architectural forms of the handbags themselves. With art direction by Maria Clara Tripier and set design by Danny Hyland, every element—from the soft, even lighting to the deliberate placement of typography—reinforces a commercial identity defined by clarity and sophisticated grace. This campaign is not merely a showcase of bags and accessories, but a cohesive visual statement on the power of understated elegance in modern fashion.
