MHL by Margaret Howell S/S 26

Feb 2026
The MHL by Margaret Howell Spring/Summer 2026 collection reaffirms the house's dedication to understated luxury and functional design through a series of evocative, high-contrast black and white portraits. Captured with a quiet, observational intensity, the imagery avoids the noise of contemporary fashion advertising, opting instead for a grounded, documentary-style approach that centers on the integrity of the garments. Photographer Jody Rogac masterfully utilizes soft light and natural light to emphasize the tactile quality of the collection's knits and tailored separates, while the stark, minimalist studio backdrop ensures that the viewer’s focus remains entirely on the silhouette and texture of each piece. Styled by Danny Reed, the session channels an aesthetic of editorial minimalism, where the subtle layering of shirts, coats, and trousers reads as both classic and deeply contemporary. Featuring a diverse cast including Charlie Tilling-Cole, Kylee Dixon, Paulo Romero, and Sanique Dill, the project leans into a raw, live-action technique that highlights the natural expressions of the models rather than overt artifice. With meticulous hair styling by Takuya Uchiyama and nuanced makeup artistry by Erin Green, the campaign successfully elevates the functional, everyday wardrobe into the realm of timeless, cinematic portraiture, reinforcing the brand's enduring commitment to clean lines and refined, utilitarian craftsmanship.
