For the ICON America editorial The New Generation Supermodels, photographer Paolo Roversi captures a series of contemplative portraits that emphasize the intersection of modern menswear and classic portraiture. Working closely with fashion editor and stylist Gro Curtis, the project leans into a minimalist studio aesthetic to draw focus to the sharp lines of contemporary tailoring. The series features models Kit Butler, Leon Dame, and Malick Bodian, each styled in a mix of structured suiting and relaxed separates. Through the use of soft, directional light and chiaroscuro techniques, the imagery captures the texture of the garments and the distinct profiles of the subjects. Adrien Pinault provides the makeup direction, maintaining a clean aesthetic that complements the series’ editorial focus on form and composition.
