i-D Magazine presents 'Welcome to Dior’s New Dawn', a fashion editorial directed by editor-in-chief Thom Bettridge and editorial director Steff Yotka. The series leans into a raw, atmospheric aesthetic, contrasting the structured precision of contemporary Dior silhouettes with untamed, woodland settings. Photographer Matthias Vriens-McGrath captures model Cruz Kahlbetzer across a variety of outdoor environments, utilizing a mix of direct flash to sharpen textures against dark, moody foliage and natural light to soften the visual landscape. The project incorporates grainy, analogue film techniques to create a tangible, tactile quality, pairing traditional tailoring with eclectic layering. Hair styling by Ryo Narushima and casting by Affa Osman round out the production.
