i-D Magazine presents a portrait series of actor Margaret Qualley, captured by photographer Petra Collins. The editorial project leans into a nostalgic, cinematic aesthetic, defined by its grainy analogue film texture and deliberate use of hard, chiaroscuro lighting. Across the series, the imagery oscillates between intimate portraiture and documentary-style glimpses of the production environment, complete with visible film sprockets and crew rigs. The project features fashion editing by Spencer Singer, with hair styling by Evanie Frausto, makeup by Dick Page, and manicures by Mamie Onishi. Set design by Nicholas des Jardins completes the visual narrative, which utilises techniques such as warm lens flares and moody, low-key lighting to frame the subject.
