Huch
Brand Identity

Apr 2022
The brand identity for Huch centers on a minimal, nature-focused aesthetic that bridges the gap between commercial outdoor retail and editorial design. Developed by Christopher Doyle & Co. with copywriting by Cat Wall, the project utilizes a recurring palette of bold yellow serif typography contrasted against dark, misty forest landscapes and rustic environmental photography. The visual system is applied across diverse formats, ranging from large-scale outdoor billboards and concrete-mounted posters to cinematic aerial video sequences. By pairing graphic elements like geometric overlays with candid, atmospheric imagery of campfires and alpine settings, the design language communicates a theme of compact, intentional living. Techniques including clean typography, natural light, and earthy color grading establish a consistent brand voice across all touchpoints. The identity relies on the interplay between stark, legible messaging and the organic textures of the wilderness.
