Harvey Nichols New Year 2026 Campaign

Jan 2026
For its New Year 2026 campaign, Harvey Nichols leans into a vision of quiet luxury that prioritizes the raw essence of high-end fashion portraiture. This series, anchored by the clean, minimalist aesthetic of photographer Phil Engelhardt, eschews the typical spectacle of seasonal marketing in favor of editorial minimalism. Through a series of tight-cropped shots and considered studio lighting, the work highlights the tactile qualities of the collection—from the heavy, cream-colored wools to the sharp tailoring of structured blazers. By blending the expertise of fashion editor Kate Phelan with the subtle textures provided by hair stylist Claire Grech and makeup artist Siddhartha Simone, the campaign delivers a masterclass in modern restraint. Models Ella Rattigan and Liu Qinzheng serve as conduits for this refined, neutral-toned mood, captured with a clarity that foregrounds natural skin texture and organic detail. Each portrait, rendered with soft natural light, acts as a study in simplicity, bolstered by typography that echoes the campaign’s promise: refreshed, renewed, and ready. It is a confident, deliberate move away from visual noise, utilizing a muted palette to ensure the focus remains entirely on the craftsmanship of the garments. This project perfectly encapsulates the current shift toward a more intimate, detail-oriented approach in commercial imagery, proving that luxury thrives when it is quiet, intentional, and stripped of all unnecessary artifice.
