Family Style
In the Wings

Feb 2026
In the Wings, a sophisticated campaign for Family Style, masterfully explores the intersection of high-fashion portraiture and theatrical performance. Captured through the lens of photographer Harley Weir, the project leans into a moody, avant-garde aesthetic that balances raw emotion with the structural rigor of luxury fashion. The visual narrative moves seamlessly between minimalist studio portraits and cinematic, low-key scenes, utilizing chiaroscuro lighting to elevate the interplay between light and shadow. Stylist Georgia Pendlebury curates a monochromatic, textile-heavy wardrobe—ranging from voluminous ribbed knits to sleek, patent leather ensembles—which is brought to life by a diverse cast including actor Sandra Hüller and models Charlotte Flossaut, Cherine Hanique, and Victoria Volt. The project's strength lies in its tactical use of contrast, juxtaposing the organic, textured garments against stark backgrounds or sterile, institutional settings. With technical contributions from hair stylist Laurent Philippon and makeup artist Leana Ardeleanu, the editorial imagery feels both intimate and imposing. Choreography by Eric Christison imbues the group compositions with a rhythmic, performance-art quality, while casting by Jill Demling ensures the distinct, contemplative presence of each subject remains the focal point. Through its disciplined use of natural light and studio strobe, In the Wings establishes a compelling, timeless dialogue between the wearer, the garment, and the surrounding environment, solidifying a narrative that feels both modern and deeply rooted in classical editorial traditions.
