Dust Magazine: In the dark Times

In the Dark Times is a fashion editorial series for Dust Magazine that explores the intersection of sculptural silhouettes and vibrant color theory. Captured by photographer Adam Peter Johnson, the project employs a minimalist studio aesthetic to isolate bold, avant-garde tailoring and tactile garment textures against stark monochrome and saturated backdrops. The series features styling by fashion editor Pau Avia, who juxtaposes technical outerwear, layered knitwear, and structured leather accessories with athletic-inspired footwear. Through a lens of clean, deliberate studio lighting, the imagery emphasizes the geometry of the apparel and the expressive forms of the models, including Dara Gueye and Coumba Mballo. Technical execution is supported by hair stylist Sebastien Richard and makeup artist Thierry Do Nascimento, whose work maintains the polished, high-key finish of the series. The production includes set design by Sati Leonne and casting by Ben Grimes, grounding the project in a cohesive, graphic visual language.
